I think Cool Hand Luke has summed it up. That's the reason this vindictive, arrogant piece of shit has to go.

I don't think he was getting credit for the start of the season and rightly so. It was Sheringham and the new attacking philosphy he'd been told to adapt by G&S. If he's had any pride he would have quit when this was annopunced.

The only positive for me is that some of the careful what you wish for brigade who hardly see us play may have caught yesterday's match and seen the CANCER and now understand why he HAS to go.

Re: What has gone wrong with the Hammers?
I don't believe it was a 'gradual transition' at all.

Sam was perceived not to be the reason the first half of the season went so well, and instead of just sucking it up and basking in his luck, he got sulky and began to pull the wings off it.

Yes, he got a few results with Carroll... that was his down fall, as his whole intent was to revert to 'his way' and 'prove' that he was right and the rest of us (those at the club included) were deluded etc etc.

In latter times, he has not been 'unlucky' at all... he has gone completely off the rails and has been deliberately belligerent, moving players out of position / starting games with the wrong players / making ridiculous subs / setting the team up to fail, in fact. And all because 'we' don't love him and 'we' won't let him have his own way with playing style / transfers / new contract / filling the place with his hangers on and Curtis cronies......

Jason Roberts set about defending him but had unwittingly already assessed the team and the real reasons for its demotivation - what does he expect from the players when they've been strangled down from the joyous free flowing stuff they were playing before Xmas? THEY are pissed off too (although we are seeing and hearing a good few examples of Stockholm Syndrome amongst their interviews, for sure).

You could have asked anyone from the crowd, and they would NOT have put on an extra winger, then removed the only remaining striker and replaced him with Nolan..!! Quite clearly total lunancy and (in my view) designed to simply piss on the chips and snub the fans and the board, because he's a sad vindictive cnut.

And the reason Sulli and Co haven't come out with anything definitive is probably because DESPITE ALL THIS they have been giving Samuel the greatest chance possible to stop being a twat and get up and boogie. Too late. He's lost the players (regardless of what they say) and he's lost everyone else too (some of us l-o-n-g since, myself included).

Dead man walking.

The reason why there's speculation about his job is because he's fucked our season up. If we were top six we wouldn't be having this discussion, nor would we if we hadn't rolled over against west brom.

'At Blackburn, Allardyce was always very pragmatic - he would always target certain games for wins, usually at home.
He would not have said that City away was a place where you could go out and go for the three points. His approach for games like that was to make clear to the players that we started with a point, and the aim was to work hard to try to leave with one too.
So Sunday's result in itself would not have been an issue for him'

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

THIS HERE IS EXACTLY WHY WE WILL NEVER ACHIEVE FUCK ALL WITH THE FAT CU T IN CHARGE

READ IT AGAIN

TAKE IT IN

HE SENDS HIS TEAMS OUT NOT EVEN INSTALLING THE POSSIBILITY IN THEM THAT THEY CAN WIN A FUCKING GAME OF FOOTBALL

People pay A LOT of money to go and watch West Ham, you have to wonder what the fucking point is when a manager sends teams out with that mindset before certain games. It is a FUCKING DISGRACE, and any cunt backing him after reading that, from some that definitely fucking knows because he's been in a changing room and been given those uninspiring words, is NOT West Ham.

And furthermore, this shit about the club handling it badly, they've always worked this way, and Allardyce has even said that the chairmen have told him that the situation will be discussed in the summer.

Anyway, after reading this piece by Roberts, I don't care if we win all our remaining games by cricket scored, I want the cunt gone. Fucking filth.

Re: What has gone wrong with the Hammers?
I hate this habit of having ex-players pontificate on football. I think they're basically handed a few hundred quid at the door, and then they spout their opinion, then they leave again. Their expertise is basically limited to the opinion they form at the golf club, backed up by memories of what the game was like years ago when they played.

A decent football journalist may not be perfect, but they'll at least talk to people around the club and measure opinion before they write a piece on that club. The reason Gary Neville is respected is that he doesn't just turn up and spout nonsense - he is a full-time employee who studies the game. Or at least takes the responsibility seriously.

Re: What has gone wrong with the Hammers?
I certainly don't think that he reverted straight back to what we saw last season. Au contraire I thought it was a gradual transition following injuries to players involved in the autumn internationals. Indeed we were even garnering points when Carrol came back and he made some valuable contributions. I just think that he has allowed us to be derailed by the disruptions to our squad, which outside of the best eleven is thin to put it mildly, and now they are playing in a very directionless and passive way.

BFS will walk at the end of this season.

Re: What has gone wrong with the Hammers?
"Careful what you wish for" is usually said by people who don't actually watch 90 minutes of us week after week.

It's a phrase usually uttered by the same people who say Sam Allardyce makes teams "organized and hard to beat".

I challenge these people to sit down and watch every last one of our games from 2013/2014 season and to conclude that we were either organised or hard to beat or a style of football you would "wish for".

We certainly turned it around the first half of this season, but it seems these changes were somewhat forced on him by injury. Some of the players weren't even bought by him. When given a full squad he reverted straight back to what we saw last season. And this bullsh*t about targetting game is just that bulls*it. You target any competitive game you play in.

At this stage I just want him gone.. feels to me like the relationship has broken down and its best for all invovled. He has done exactly what was asked of him. Shake hands and time to move on.

Re: What has gone wrong with the Hammers?
In fact, how can he say

"I saw a team who did not look like they were buying into the philosophy of hard work and organisation that I know Allardyce usually installs in his players."

and conclude that he should keep his job?

If the whole team aren't buying into his philosophy - Robert's words not mine - then its pretty obvious that he has to go.

Sorry Billy , I can't see that at all.

Like most things there are elements of truth in it of course.

Never been a BFS hater & overall he's a capable manager for sure.

However, as SG has pointed out there are massive contradictions in the article for it considered good.

...and right there is the reason we will never progress under BFS.

If this is a game he hasn't 'targeted for a win' and has communicated that fact to the players then why would they bother trying to win it?

I would imagine that they would get bollocked by BFS if they tried to win but ended up losing, he would lambast them for not being defensive enough and give them a lecture about respecting the point.

Every game should be targeted for a win and playing style & tactics adjusted accordingly.

Although he certainly didn't mean to, in that quote Roberts has summed up perfectly why BFS is wrong for West Ham if we want to move forward.
